COURB Institute is a Brazilian not-for-profit organization founded in 2015 that develops knowledge transfers and guidance for inclusive, socially, environmentally and economically sustainable cities through a specialized and multidisciplinary team.
We work together with different civil society segments to foster active participation and collaboration in the development of urban projects and policies. Since 2015, we have developed knowledge transfers for governments, foundations, councils and local communities in three major areas:
Consultancy for formulating, monitoring and deploying urban policies
We promote collaborative urbanism through training, courses and publications
Urban projects and actions with local communities
To articulate the plurality of social actors’ interests in promoting active participation in urban projects and policies.
To connect transforming agents of urban development policies for more inclusive cities.
